We will continue the council tax freeze for 2012/13.

We will preserve front-line services.

We will press for a reduction in the number of councillors from 59 to 40 for implementation at the 2015 elections.

We will increase the items that are able to be recycled and improve further our recycling performance.

We will look closely at devolving budgets to local areas working with parish councils and local residents associations.

We will continue to promote a balanced economy that provides a wide range of employment opportunities for the people within the Borough.
